Gratitude

There are so many blessings in life, and each day of our lives we should count our blessings.

We have the blessing of our bodies and our minds. We have the blessings of family and friends. We have the blessing of the beauty of nature and the resources of the Earth. And we have the blessing of our lives.

Gratitude tells us to count our blessings every day. Every day there is a new sunrise. Every day there is the capacity to enjoy life and to do good.
Even when life has become very difficult, on account of sickness or poverty or racism, there are blessings to be counted.

Consider a world without gratitude: if we did not know gratitude, we would be far less likely to contribute to the happiness of others. Indeed, we would be totally lost.
The power of gratitude is to remind us that there are natural and human forces that contribute to our happiness, and that we, in turn, are capable of contributing to the happiness of others.

Wear gratitude like a cloak, and it will feed every corner of your life.
